Motorstorque is a brand inspired by the love of all things motors. Driven by a passion to represent the whole motors and motorsport community, after struggling to find clothing that did just that. Acknowledging the diverse individuals in motorsport from competitors to spectators, commentators to pit crews, scrutineers to photographers, officials to enthusiasts. Our brand is not just about sport it’s about talking and conversations, with like minded people enthusiastically, celebrating the oohs and aahs of all things motors.

Our Philosophy - ‘more torque, more power’
Our philosophy is built on the belief that talking is powerful. In our experience, we have found motors are always a great conversation starter. Whether it’s your first motor or your aspiration dream machine. The team behind motorstorque believe in the importance of community and have found the motors community to be light hearted and supportive. We wanted to build on this and design a brand that would embrace the whole community which can sometimes be divided by differences. It was formed by a need to find clothing that represented the unity of a love of motors. There are many brands out there but they are usually tailored for a specific team, manufacturer or sport. We wanted to design a brand that was all encompassing that anyone could belong. Our love of motors has varying degrees and preferences, like our choice of motors and how we enjoy them, but we are united in our enthusiasm for motors torque.

Our Clothing
There are lots of clothing manufacturers we could have used for our range, but we have chosen quality over profit. We want you to enjoy the clothing for more than one wash and come back for more. Our clothing uses quality items and our production methods support this ethos.
Some of our clothing like the ‘get a grip’ t-shirt is designed to provoke positive supportive conversations. As a team we have often used humour to help get through difficult situations and our company aims to embrace this. We hope you view our clothing in the manner it was intended.

Our care advice
To help keep your items looking mighty fine we advise you wash items inside out on a low temperature and don’t tumble dry. Iron inside out as the transfers will spoil with excess heat.
Our why
Our brand aims to appeal to anyone who loves motors and motorsport and is looking for a brand they can identify with. We are motor enthusiasts and decided to create a brand that we would want to wear and identify with.
We realised that the motor community’s connection allows conversations to start easily with complete strangers or like minded individuals, through a joint love of motors. We felt this was unique and something to be celebrated. Whilst your vehicles may be diverse and not align, a passion for the sector allows unity. ‘The sound, the smell, the drive’ was our first T that aimed to evoke that feeling. Motorstorque aims to support and unite those with a love for all things motors, provoking talk around the love of ‘motors torque’. We have also found talking motors allows conversations to expand. People open up about all sorts of deep and emotional experiences. Our ‘Get a grip’ T aims to highlight mental health and encourage our community to support our ethos and play on our strapline of torque being power and the notion that it’s good to talk.
Sometimes you can feel alienated by a brand that is too specific for a motor type or a style of sport. Our brand aims to encompass that feeling that a love of motors evokes. We believe it’s a unique community of enthusiasts that deserve a brand as cool as their motors or aspiration motors! We’d like to be the universal brand of the motor community. If you love motors be it cars or bikes (as we don’t believe in a division as a love of engines unites). If you identify with a love of motors and motorsports, motorstorque is a brand designed for you. By wearing our brand you join a community believing more torque more power.
Who we are
This hasn’t happened overnight. This idea has been brewing since jotting it on a post it note in 2014. We are a family business, working as a team to pool our skills and make this happen, instead of just talking about it.
The team consists of a graphic designer - having made brands for others for most of her career she has always wanted to create a family orientated brand. Brought up with a father who loved motors and motorsport, being taken to motor events like Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb to Motorshows at the NEC and Grand Prix at Silverstone. She remembers going to the launch of the RS Escort at a local ford dealership. They had a rally version in the showroom and that sparked a love of cars, motorbikes and motorsport.
Our photographer/videographer/web designer has a creative flair and vision to get things done and is often out of the spotlight busy working behind the scenes. His appreciation of cars stems from the aesthetic of the design, this enables him to capture this within his craft.
Our team also consists of two generations of racing drivers who are the backbone of the brand and are busy building the community. They have both been hillclimb and sprint champions in their different classes. One started a love of motors at an early age with off road motorcycling, road rallying and a visit from Group B back in the mid eighties. The other literally mastered the opposite lock before he could walk, helping at various events before competing himself in the 2010’s. They literally live and breathe to drive and if you speak to either of them it’s clear how passionate they are about Motors Torque.
